MCC Shooting Sports

Welcome to the home of the MCC Shooting Sports Program - a component of the Mecklenburg County Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Council Headquarters are in Charlotte, NC with facilities at the Mecklenburg Scout Reservation (Camp Grimes) in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Belk Scout Camp in Midland, NC. We offer a complete package of opportunities to every range of Scout, from Cub Scout up through Venture Crew. Our facilities are open year round for Scouting groups as well as non-Scouting groups.
There are a few videos promoting Camp Grimes that include reference to various
shooting sports activities. These videos are hosted on the Council's Facebook page.

Cowboy Action Shooting is available at Camp Grimes
In case you haven't already heard, we have built a Cowboy Action Shooting range at Camp Grimes. This new range was introduced in 2016. The Shooting Sports Committee is continuing to work with the Camp Grimes program staff to make this range available during camp. Outside of summer camp, the Cowboy Action Shooting range can only be opened at district or council events.
